ARTIST STATEMENT
My free-form Sculpture is reflective of the relationship between man and nature and the struggles and harmonies between the two. The rhythms and patterns created through the process of carving are a direct reflection of this type of relationship. The end results are sculptures that express a search for balance and spirituality through elements derived from nature. Whether it is bodies of water or large cavernous mountains, I am continuously inspired by the shifts and changes (both natural and man-made) that occur within these beautiful yet fragile beings. As a result it has been a personal mission of mine to translate the dialogues and understandings I have of these environmental titans.
