Bio
Contemporary Artist, Joo Hee Chang graduated from Hyo Sung Woman’s University in Korea. She majored in Fine Arts and joined KASC after she moved to Canada, and continued her journey as an artist. She served as an executive member for the KASC group and worked with other members to recruit new artists and participate in variety exhibitions. She loves interacting with other artists and enjoys traveling in her free time to gain inspirations to relate them in her future paintings. Now, she is participating in exhibitions as a former artist and enjoys concentrating her time working on her art pieces.
Artist Statement
Peaceful. Time. Space. These three topics have always been my main focus when I work on my art pieces. We start with a single thought, and a lot of times it becomes a complicated journey with many different ideas. However at the end we tend to find a single answer. Through using Resin as my art piece material, it always fascinates me how it starts with transparent liquid and finishes with exotic images and all the pieces work together to present a balanced art piece with images that I would like to express.
